Fukuoka Trip

So the last days I was leaving my beloved Tokyo for a trip to Fukuoka  (福岡)! I met there the Mother of my Girlfriend^^
I whish I could fly to Tokyo as fast like in the time of this flight. Fukuoka so far I saw is a nice big city at the sea!
The first impression actually were at the Subway. My girlfriend met surprisingly an old friend and I had a nice talk with a guy originally from Great Britain who lives in Fukuoka with his Japanese wive. Most times only strange people wants to talk to me. But in Japan I sometimes got nice chit chat with other Foreigners for exchange experience :D
Our resident this time was the Hilton Hotel with a nice view to Fukuoka Tower. The first time I could actually walk in a Room at a residence in Japan :D. But actually I love my tiny room at our Hotel Wing International Korakuen in Tokyo, they are so nice!
Back to Fukuoka! We visited the Fukuoka Tower and had a nice view over the Town. Also I got discount for being German :D
At the tower was also a floor for couples :-)
Also we visited the beach. Then we were at a shrine praying and eating really good udon noodle soup!
Later I experienced how to buy a Smartphone for elderly people in Japan. It seems that all over the world some problems are just the same  :D
I wished we had more time in Fukuoka couse it seems to be a nice city! I think I will go there again.
Now I'm back in tokyo and in some days flying back to Germany. I really start to fly to much... we really need faster planes! Maybe I should use my university contacts to start a research group on that :D

Countryside of japan

The last days in Tokyo I was happy to see a friend from last year studying at genkijacs. It's really nice that we could see again in japan :-) He is again studying there so I quickly jumped in and said hello to some of the teachers. I really can recommend them if you have the time, the money and the motivation to learn Japanese some weeks there. After that we visited the the father of my girlfriend for some days. He lives in a small village in tokushima. There are many mountains! One day we did a nice adventure trip through the mountains and visited a valley and walked over an old style bridge which was originally build by samurais many years ago who lived in that area. The countryside of japan is of course quite different from tokyo. Less people, less action, less stress. So basically we slept and ate much :D Like in German countryside you really need a car in that area. But the cars here are much smaller. Pokémon Café in Tokyo

Finally I was at the Pokémon Café at Nihombashi in Tokyo. The café opened last year in Tokyo but i didn't managed to go there last time cause you have to reserve a table beforehand! The website for reservation is only partly in english but I was able to reserve without further help. The café is located in Nihombashi inside a mall. In front of the café was a big sleeping snorlax (Relaxo in german and Kabigon in japanese). Also there was a big merchandise shop with all the things you also can find in Pokémon Centers like in Ikebukuru. At the entry was a timetable and everyone for an specific time got together inside. All where seated in the same area at the café. After seating you have 90min to spend in the café. The orders can be placed via tablet. We orders the Pikachu curry, Umbreon chicken burger (Nachtara in German and Buraki in Japanese) and a Gengar smoothie (in German and Japanese also Gengar). Wohoo, welcome to tokyo to me :D After a great flight with really huge space (i even could transform my seat into a bed! ) i landed in Tokyo Narita. There i realized finally: my smartphone is too old. The thing is i wanted to by a data sim card so i can surf the net while im around (or navigate my self at home if i get lost). Last year there was no problem at all with this. If i had a newer smarteit wouldn't be a problem, too. But mine still uses a regular sim card and nearly all shops only had micro and nano... After an hour or so i found one with regular sim cards. But only for 7 or 14 days. Great thing that i stay longer. Im to special for them xD So if you travel here with an old smartphone,  buy yourself an adapter or something before coming here. It makes things easier. I also had the option to rent another smartphone. But fuck this. Im using my old friend and bought a 14 day and a 7 day card. There goes my money.
